Well before you "City boys" rush to any rash assumptions, consider this;
On average a crash in the country is more likely to be a fatality because:
1) There are less passers by to render assistance
2) Quite often there is no phone reception to call for assistance
3) The time taken for ambulance assistance is greater due to distance and Ambo centres not being manned 24/7
4) Because of distance the time taken to reach a hospital is greater.
5) Crashes often occur at a higher average speed due to the speed limit on country roads.
6) And finally the condition of most roads is shit
These are just a few things that may hinder the country drivers... But statistics can and will be manipulated by the press at will, so don't always believe what you read
