Yeah coating your pipes will be of a benifit. Mainly if you have a ECU as you will be able to run more ign advance due to slightly cooler inlet air. How much though im not sure about.

On my old car the pipe from throttle body to intercooler was wrapped and you could slightly tell by seat of your pants.
