yep - apart from being stated in our manuals, i did an extensive ring around to Subaru, most of Perth's leading tuners/workshops, S&J, MRT, STi Docklands, etc, etc - whilst the consensus wasn't unanimous, 5W-30 was the majority choice for our models.

It's what they put in to start with.
