Yeah did mine when upgrading to a P20 on my VF34.....had the rear housing Ceramic/HPC coated also while it was off. Made a massive difference to under bonnet temps as did HPC coating the dump & heat sheild.
Removing the rear housing is reasonably simple....undo the V-band & remove, disconnect the wastegate actuator arm C-clip then hopefully it should slide apart if the turbo is still new.....if the turbo's been used you will need to tap around where the turbine housing meets the centre cartidge with a sharp chisel or similar til it splits apart. A bit of pre-soaking with a penetrant over night is also a good idea before attempting this on a used turbo.
