I know theres a kayak / surf ski place around the corner at work here in Wangara and im sure they do test mornings on the rivers to see what you like, what you feel comfy on etc.

Might be worth pm'ing WRXTACTIC too. I know he was getting into it a bit but not sure about now, now he doesnt live so close to beach!
