Alphones Gangitano (played by vince) is not the main charachter, the reason his character is important however, is that the shooting in which he was involved in, in 1995, started the whole chain reaction that led to the melbourne gangland killings

The main charachters in underbelly are the moran family (mainly Jason, his father & half brother mark), tony morkbel and carl williams (who is now serving life behind bars and wont be eligable for perole till he is 70).
