Got ROLLED by coppers in Busselton for this, and I had a legit reason:
Panel shop that replaced front bumper neglected to re-mount the plate, as it was returning because they had to fix the mounting of the bumper i was leaving the plate for them to mount.
Cops still had me for breakfast...

LOL. I ran no front plate for a while in the wrx (even the first possum cruise and a couple of other cruises) and over almost 2 months i was stopped once.
9 times out of 10 i reckon you could escape a fine. Wouldnt be the same if you get caught with some dodgy lcd screen as your plate tho!
