Retravision Cannington had a Cost plus 5% (private) sale a few weeks before Xmas last year and I convinced the wife that they should be my pressie.
I would guess they still sell them there - at Cost plus 5 they were $2600 or so. I think if you shopped around or changed what you got (i.e. ES80's instead of 90's etc) you'd get closer to your budget. I went for the larger ones as they were so cheap at the time and the wife was in a good mood
