The problem with the S201 plate is 'S' is the shire of Sandstone, thus the S XXX series of plates is taken by them.

It would be too hard for someone to distinguish S201 and S - 201.

(I think that not being able to get WRX in a plate name is stupid, all you need to do is be quick if a new 'name' comes out as they won't have lists for every car name)
