Wash in cold water and either tumble dry them or if you hang them on the line hang them inside out. Most of ur fading will come from sunlight so you cant really stop it. If you wanna go hard core and really try and slow the fade you can buy this dye setting stuff from woolies or spotlight (were the lil round thingies of dye are) and when u first buy a new black shirt use it.
Now you lot get off the computer and get ur asses outside n mow the lawn or fix something ffs, or you can do ur own bloody washing!
Oh and before you go hand ur mrs the credit card and the wrx keys.
