I really don't see what all the negativity over it's looks is about.

if it has 198kw, a decent suspension tune and is still priced the same, it'll sell heaps, especially if the Ralliart Lancer is more expensive, heavier and less powerful (as overseas reports seem to indicate)

Judging from how WRXs have progressed in the past, next years MY10 will probably have a more agressive front bumper, and better looking rims.
