There is no problem with the SMS, there is a problem that a super secret criminal could inject code into your iphone through a bug that exists in the SMS program.

This would allow the said super criminal to take over the world muhahahaha.

Interestingly enough this bug was reported to Apple ages ago and the patch only came out when the people who reported it decided to show exactly how to exploit the bug at the blackhat conference.
