I think that while most of us work, yeh, but most of us have free time in the latter part of the evening to watch such events and would make the time available bearing in mind that the Olympics only come around every 2 years.
Given the time zone differences, while we are watching McGuire bumping his gums on 1/2 day old stuff, we could instead be watching true
live coverage... Canada daytime = Aussie evening.
As for ripoff Foxtel we shouldn't have to pay for something which has been live free to air for decades, for the benefit of the whole community, not just the select few who can actually afford pay TV on top of the normal cost of living.
