Either way, my recommendation would be to just save up and buy the lights that already look the way you want them to rather than risk stuffing up the lights you already have and then having to go and buy the lights anyway.

It is a serious mod.
Bake the light to let the glue melt, remove amber stuff, put back together. There are a lot of cars in Perth who have undergone this!
