AS I think other post have eluded to, you have nice and not the cheapest car out there make sure you treat it right and don't cut corners. A lot will depend on driving style on how the lowering will affect the car's handling. On the track it wont do much without support mods. But for street only use, eh, it'll look the goods at least. But I come from a more track heritage for my liking.
I know of one MY05 STI with coilovers and is experiencing rubbing in high-speed cornering and that's with the extra camber and castor the coilovers can offer.
