Fred, Hopefully this doen't come out the wrong way, but you've never entered one of these events and you've been critical of the concrete. Remeber what the intent of this event is for. It is to get a taster for tarmac rally.

Sorry to say that tarmac rally bites if you get it wrong. You either drive accordingly, or at best you pay your preferred panel beater to straighten out the mess you made, at worst you end up eating hospital food!

Putting some challenges there to make people thing about the dangers I believe is very good. It makes people think about what can happen and the risk / reward equation.

My view has always been I'd prefer to finish last in a tarmac rally but challenge myself rather than drive around around a track as there's more of a challenge and I personally think it's more of a challenge (not taking anything away from the fellows that circuit race as I think racing bumper to bumpr is also a great but just not for me).

Ultimately you enter the event that suits you. You then drive it accordingly
