hi, got a very quick (ricey) question:
i just replaced an old aftermarket
bov (blitz ss) that had seized up with a new one (sard r2d2). however since putting on the new one, the car has trouble idling when stationary (sits around 300-400). this is once the car is already warmed up and is at normal operating temp.
both bovs are atmospheric, so im guessing the cause is that the spring tension of the new one hasn't been adjusted correctly. should i be TIGHTENING the top of the
bov or LOOSENING it?
i have been advised by someone else that "it drops pressure when
BOV is too tight and allows too much to flow, which decreases revs & almost makes car stall". is this correct and does that imply that the
BOV needs to be loosened?
thanks in advance,
linh
