You'll need a thick skin in these parts James. Some of us just like taking the piss, don't take it too seriously
I didn't get my WRX until I was 30. I am now 34. I waited until I passed the Fast & The Furious stage of life (17-21), then waited until I had a decent job/career before asking the bank to give me money for a nice car. I made do with a Celica for near on 10 years before jumping into a turbo car. I didn't waste a cent on it other than keep it well maintained and a half decent stereo system. Don't get too despondent about not having a brand new turbo car. All that would ensure is that you will pay STUPID amounts in insurance premiums, you will be in a lot of debt at a young age, and that you will be so much closer to losing your license for continually stepping on the gas pedal like it's a giant cockroach.
