and tell them to sort it out as they have sold an unroadworthy vehicle in regards to ADR noise levels.

ADR's will have a specific Db limit and unless this is measured with a calibrated piece of equipment with a trained operator in the right area without background noise it is completely unfair to waste peoples time and money with a yellow sticker. |

Which "Coke can" are these officers talking about:
* Alloy 375 ml * Steel 285 ml * Baby 250 ml * Slimline 300 ml I was not aware that "Coke Can" was an officially recognized measurement. Why oh why don't the police department get rid of the dick heads that do these sorts of things. It gives the general public a biased view of the force and makes life harder for the cops who actually do the right thing...

Also if they all had to carry around the correct equipment it would mean they would have to actually do their job properly and conformed but we all know that will never happen! It's not right but if you mod your car or have a car with mods then you should be prepared to cop some shit from the cops, even permits will sometimes be over looked and yellows issued.

What would you prefer, ill informed police or up to task mobile dpi agents?

and there is no question to the defects being legit and not just assumed. It would also make the cops think twice if the situation was that they had to wait for said agents to come out and test the alleged violations and then nothing was found they would then have to explain to their supervisors why they wasted so much time on one small vehicle stop if nothing came out of it. At the end of the day it doesn't bother me what they do really as I've got nothing to hide and if I cop a yellow for mods or excessive noise then I'll cop it sweet.

Unfortunately not alot you can do as far as I know.
It is worth trying to speak to the station involved but doubt you will get far. Personally, I would just take it to the pits, pay the money and be on your way. If you take it back to subaru to get it rectified, every chance they will put a stock system on and then you need to shell out $$$ to get back to where you are. There is a new DPI in osborne Park, yet to try them out. Most are bookings only now. Last edited by GX-REX; 05-03-2010 at 11:08 PM. |

noise was mentioned once or twice it was the size that was their problem. It seems like they pulled me over possibly thinking i was a young "hoon" then when i hopped out they werent sure what to do and thought they had to do something so they didnt have to explain themselves to their seniors. Im only saying that because the` whole incident didnt sit quite right. |
