umm, STi's dont come stock with roof racks. They might be Subaru ones that were purchased as an extra from the dealership, but they aren't on there from factory. The roof racks n1ck is talkin about are on every hatch straigh out of production. They are put on before the interior is put in the car on the production line.

I believe, judging by your avatar pic, your referring to your roof racks that go across the roof. Where as n1ck and Kym are talking about the factory racks that go from front to back on each side of the car.

Depends on which racks Subaru has decided to put on the car, I've had both, the Rolla ones that go across the roof are easy to take off, just buy the right key from Dick Smith & off they go, the more common ones put on most WRX's that go lengthwise are bolted on from underneath & require the roof lining to be taken out to undo the bolts from underneath, then you need to fill the holes & replace the rails...as said before "expensive"

Sigh, the roof racks these kids are reffering to run from the front to the back of the car. Opposite pattern to the normal roof racks. If i remember correctly, Jamie had them removed on his old wagon, and it was a bitch. Best contact him.
