let the insurance company sort it out for the following reasons.

A) Peace of mind - you know the repairs will be carried out by a recommended reparer.

B) The repairs will have a warranty- so if it comes back and doesnt line up you can send it back until your satisfied its perfect.

C) It may look like only a bumper to the untrained eye but it may have more damage that a panel shop will identify and repair.

thats my opnion though.

Who are you insured with if you dont mind me asking?
Certain members on the forum work in insurance and this may help the process of reapirs.

There is some more damage. There is some non-structural metal work thats been bent which will need to be bashed out for the bumper to mount on.

I am with RAC and the other party are with SGIO. We are dealing directly with SGIO.

Id get Rac to deal with Sgio as they might just go for the quickest
and cheapest option as they will have control, whereas if you let
Rac do the repairs you will get it done right as they will make
Sgio pay for everything that does need to be done properly.

If the other driver has already admitted liability then it wont affect
your NCB or excess.

My 2cents.

What are you doing!!!
Just put in a claim with your insurer and let them sort it out...forget about dealing with SGIO...that's what you pay a premium to RAC for.
Get it to a reputable repairer, get a quote, they send it to RAC and RAC deals with it. Try J & W Zarb in Osborne Park for example...
Why make something simple into a complex issue...
