car is now very exciting to drive which is what i wanted.
a memeber with same mods just different exhaust at 17psi got 285hp with more TQ on MMS dyno, so very similar. Difference could be a little extra boost and different tuner, or could be dyno. who knows i dont really care if the cars have same power like you said its just a number. ofcourse i like the look of 300hp graph

Congrats and it must be an interesting drive to say the least. Will look forward to seeing you at the drags to cement those numbers with a MPH trap speed.

I'm looking forward to the proposed dyno day at MMS and then all these debates can end.
I agree with Andrew on this.. decent figures.. I'm just amazing that you can produce so much power with minimal mods.. would certainly be interested to know if it will have any long term effects (say if driven daily like my car). I believe ASG under tuned mine because I told him not to go crazy, didn't want my work car blowing up on me.

Make sure you come to the MMS dyno day, we can do a proper comparison then!

I'm sorry, and I mean no offence to the owner but what the fuck is this? Intercooler, cold air intake, exhaust and tune and makes 300HP at the wheels? At 18PSI? My question more goes towards the workshop making these gains, because, well... Yeh...

Is this all with the standard turbo?

No mention of anything otherwise.

That's what I thought. I am just clutching at straws to explain the results.

I'm not in any way digging into the owner. How is he to really know what has been done to his car to reach such ridiculous gains for the mods installed, and if it really is 300, then how safe a tune can it possibly be?

Is it at the wheels? Not knowing much about how dynos and how the HP is calculated couldn't this figure be reduced by around 50 HP by where its measured? (Google search helped with those numbers)

Mao and Warwick use a Dynapack as does ASG so the figure is at the hubs.

However, there have been updates of late to Dynapack software. Two that come to mind. When I last spoke to Sean the first update caused a 5% difference to early measurements and US Dave's recent tune I was told caused a further 20Hp loss to the previous update.

Someone with more accurate direct knowledge may be able to confirm. Intra perhaps?

I know of one other tune of modest changes like the poster, albeit including 1000cc injectors, which resulted in 300Hp at ASG on a VF52. I do admit I am sceptical as with a billet wheel TD0518G ported I achieve 240Hp although I am on a standard exhaust cat back. Even if you added the 20Hp to account for software updates I still am at only 260 but at 17Psi. As a comparison Sacry's Cosworth 2.5 with fuck off cams and all the fruit same turbo roughly as mine makes 300Hp but 500Nm.
