$160...hmm...as I understand, the going rate is $88 (per hr) and a usual alignment takes an hour. But I guess if the job takes two hours to fiddle and get it 100% with wheel balances, camber adjustments etc, it will cost more...but the job is done properly.

That may be the case but when you send the Mrs in with her road car, a new Liberty wagon and she returns with a bill double of what you're expecting it leaves a bitter taste. Especially after your wife asks why the hell the car needed such an expensive wheel alignment when you see them advertised for around $50.

Nah John's standard rate is just an hour of labour for an alignment. I had mine done a month ago.
But yeah +1 for Wheels World they've always done the right thing by me.

Of course I did. Got a response of it was a difficult job and it took longer than normal. I never realised alignments were charged on an hourly basis. I didn't take it in myself so I wasn't really in a position to do too much. Being a regular customer I would have thought I'd be taken care of after numerous sets of tyres and regular wheel alignments.Either way I kinda felt burned, now use Wilkos and I'm more than happy with their service and $66 price tag.

A good alignment is probably right up there with 1 of my most noticible mods to the car.........

$160 Bloody Hell! I was charged $80 for my last alignment, how could he justify charging you $160?????

Wilks all the way for me!! Very reasonably priced and great service. A qulity alignment from a motorsport related workshop is always a good investment in a performance car.
