im prepared to buy new ones, its not a problem. Rather than if its not totaly necesary now i could put the money towards something else i need.
I'l measure em up tomorrow. Do the discs need to be machined?? |

maybe just feel the face of rotors.. if it has very coarse grooves.. maybe worth machining.. if not then you can get away with new pads.. IMO just get em machined if its still legal to do so. also maybe worth getting some grooves machined in so you give the new pads a good wiping/shaving.

if you are lookin at a good set of bads get the bendix utra perforamce i think they are called. heard they are verry good but they are expensive. if you do end up need new rotors should get some aftermarket slotted ones they will last longer and perform better

I'd suggest a light machine
Minimum on the rears is 18mm (28 on the fronts) Plenty of different pads out there Depends what your running on the front to what you should run on the rears DS2500 rears are $165 Ferodo Formula are $150 Bendix Street,road,track are $255

god knows how you go through a set of brakes in 8k TJ. take your foot off the pedal
As others have suggested Tino, don't cheap out on brakes... its what saves you from guardrails. Personally i'd suggest you don't waste your money on bendix either. I wondered why the old 323 didn't pull up so well:
