I reckon a VMOUNT is the way to go for sure .. certainly not the cheapest option, but the most expensive option is usually the best when it comes to performance!

Don't you loose the Air con when you go for a V-mount.
Would put me off unless it was a dedicated race car. Sure it wouldn't help the resale either.

VMIC kits going around are rubbish, Process West stopped making them and Mixja on Rexnet had the PE VMIC kit then changed to a APS DR525 FMIC and had quicker spool & more power with the FMIC.

Unless is custom probably not worth it, much easier to get a good quality (and yes fork out some cash for this) turn it upside down (might have to relocated entry/exit connections) and do reversed manafold. ie tuna spec

I was looking at the manifold just yesterday seeing what would be involved...
Tell me if i left something out... Move alternator, New throttle cable, and fabbing up some mounts for a bit of plumbing that's bolted to it.

I would've given the PW kit a shot if the radiator didn't sit the way it does.
