Back when i had my lib i had the rims painted by my panel beater ...... $50 per rim and done with STi gold colour code 2 pac paint with clear coat. Turned out great, only thing was that i had to seperate tyres from rims, but that didnt cost anything.
my advice is to shop around and do it professionally. Avoid powder coating as any scratches cant be touched up. |

$50ea is fare enough, all panel beaters i went want $75ea + whatever cost to take off and put back tyres. and it takes 4 days . alliance $110ea plus gst for 2 days drive in drive out. Cheapest is Megan just called her today $60ea drive in drive out but she would have to see my rims first. I'll keep the topic updated

the previous owner of my bugeye must have been a bit lacking in the parrallel parking dept and the rims are slightly kerbed. i want to get them fixed up and painted matt black. any recommendations?
once i upgrade the rims i'll be keeping these ones for track days etc so the kerbing may not be a huge issue. who is this megan person people speak of? does she remove the tyres when painting etc? |
