Same prob here in Mandurah since all the heavy rain theres heaps more potholes and you just dont have time to see them when its raining hard so bang straight into it. I know its impossible to fix them all in a day but it seems that these holes are there for ages before there fixed.Tyres are not cheap and our suspension on our wrxs are so hard it really makes a bang.

there's heaps of new potholes on Tonkin heading north from the airport. Went to AHG on sunday and had to avoid a few nice ones on the way home... 17s don't like them :P

popped into one like the pic bore... few years back now... ended up with popped tyre and bent rim...

ironically my gf was driving behind me and followed my line - she busted her tyre in thesame pothole...
Alexander drive between beach and marangaroo is also a pothole world.

no compaction when the road was built. also with all of perth being built on sand not helping much either. when the sand/limestone sub-base or basecourse gets laid down its usually not mixed well and simply laid down off a truck and rolled poorly. once sand/limestone gets wet and vibrations are added it sort of vibrates and all the water comes to the top, making it softer and then bam the road caves in.

haha yea..the ones at mirrabooka drive through macdonalds was insane, infact that whole carpark was nuts :O.

The one i went into yesturday wasint too bad it didint damage/bend my rims or even put a mark on the tyre (from what i can see). just annoying cause like you say, tyres artn cheap these days let alone Rims.

Feel sorry for the guys on bikes.

Better chance of missing it but if you don't see one and get it can make for a very bad day!!!

yea, they are a pain in the ass to avoid and in heavy trafic you cant see them far ahead to allow yourself enough time to serve them.

I made complaint and lodged an insurance claim against the council the day I ran into the above pictured as i believed i bent the rim, volks arent exactly cheap to replace.

Needless to say next morning pothole was filled.
