Future of PWRX
I've gradually noticed the decline in activity on the forums and the number of active members selling their cars lately (not just to upgrade).
I can probably count on one hand the number of regular posting members and I'm sure some more senior members could comment on the current circumstances also. The lack of events organised by the club is either a cause or an effect of the above... I know we are all busy, and people change, cars come and go, but we should bring back the community that the old boys started. PWRX always had the community advantage over the WRXWA club because of it's regular posting, discussion and active community. I know a lot of the banter and discussion has moved to the SOWA group on facebook, do people prefer the FB group? I can't stand it, as it takes way too long to scroll through all the rubbish to find the relevant discussions or topics. I'm keen to set up some events or even just help PWRX tag onto the WRXWA events calendar. I'm thinking of bringing back some of the old pub lunches, captain munchies runs, Sunday morning blats, ribs nights and even the odd arvo with a group in a garage helping get shit done to our cars. How many people would be interested? Jeremy |

Unfortunately FB has taken newer members away from internet forums, while they can be productive they usually are a lot of wank.
I am super keen for more RAC afternoons and happy to help out on a DIY weekend at a garage. I have organised 3 RAC Tuning afternoons for work this year so maybe I will starting advertising spots on PWR if people are keen.

Fuck facefuck! Never been on it and never will.
I hope pwrx lives on as I still find it a valuable resource and a great place for some shit talking and banter. I joined the forum to learn about modifying and racing Subaru's. Maybe the negativity that was about a while back turned a lot of people off and that's understandable. Lately it seems to me that genuine enthusiasts have stuck around and are still happy to share their knowledge with the dumber less experienced like me. I'm sure there is a lot more going on in the background pm's etc... My two cents.

As in other forums affected by Faecesbook, the quantity of posts decreases but quality increases.

If you were a member of that group, banter and poking fun at each other aside, there is actually a lot of bad advice being given to members that don't know any better. Even disagreeing over something trivial causes a number of the people there to go bat shit crazy, even if you documented proof behind you.

She's never off it. I gave up after three bans. She used the 'day care blog' as her last excuse to get back on it. She addickted.
