Barely: Some say that if its painted black there is that extra thicness of paint meaning less flow and others say that black gets hotter. The difference would be negligable

black transfers heat FASTER than any other colour, it's a known fact.

"Absorption and emission are linked to each other. Anything we do to increase
the absorption of radiation will also increase the emission of radiation (for
a given wavelength of light)"

Thus - your black car will cool down faster once the sun has gone down vs a white car, although in the morning the white car will heat up less fast than the black car in the sun.

same with the intercooler, the heat will come out of it faster than white or silver.


im talking about anodised here not painted, though i suppose thickness of the fins will be another factor.

the difference is not insignificant, between heat transfer of black coloured objects vs other colours is not insignificant.
