Im running Bridgie RE55's on the porsche, and did previously on the rex wagon. Go the SR compound you'll get decent wear/life from them. Will be trying some yoki's next, but have no bad feedback from the 55's thus far....cept they're bloody loud and they don't go past 285/18's Note: the harder compound takes at least 2 decent events to scrub them in nicely, but damn are they good once bed in.

Whack in a front 1way diff, and 1.5 rear and you can say goodbye to understeer city.

I've just bought 2 sets of RE55's (and 17" rims) for the track, heard and read good things about them so hopefully its all true.

Where would onego to get the Kuhmo V700's? Is it legal to have them just on the front for insurance / cop purposes or do u need to have all 4 tyres the same brand?

How many K's could I expect out of hte fronts when running 1.5-2 neg camber.

You can have different brands of tyres on the front and rear, but proberly not the best for handling. as for k's it really does depend on how you drive, could be 3000k could be 30000k especially depending if you do track work. 1,5-2 deg neg camber wont do much to make your tyres wear out quicker, so i wouldnt worry too much about that

Whack in some more training/ working on your driving techniques first before you do the above!! (My advice).
Even with some half decent street tyres, you should be able to dial out a LOT of your understeer problems by improving on the basics Alex would've covered at RMS day.
Impreza GT, If I had a dollar for everytime I hear your quote:

I'd be a rich man indeed! We like to generalise and say that FWD/4WD have the tendency to naturally 'understeer', but in fact in any car you can experience either under/oversteer... it is all dependent on how you drive etc.
Attend a few more events and run through the basics before you have to fork out on $$$ to address the solution... and at least once you do, you'll probably realise you don't need as many mods as you first thought.

Returning to topic: A second set of cheapo wheels + R-comps for racing purposes only are a good idea not only for grip etc, but to maintain longer/ better life on your street set. (As discovered!).
