Yeah 98RON all the way. Costs that bit extra but you'll notice the difference performance wise and your car will love you for it.

Welcome

Redbook makes me laugh. All modern cars run on unleaded fuel, so I don't get their point. (If they mean GC8's run on 91RON, early GD's on 95RON and later on 98RON, I will shoot the person that wrote that.)

honestly, redbook is useless no matter what state you're in.
redbook dont buy cars. ask them to, and they will show you the door.

always remember, cash in hand = bargaining power, always bargain.

also, remember to take into account insurance no point shelling out everything you have for that dream car, only to write it off later, and not get anything back cause you have no insurance.

but like many have said, enjoy your time here.

cheers for all the comments, much appreciated.

i might have alternative pathway to getting a rex., maybe even the almighty sti.

my dad's decided to get himself a weekend car in lieu of his econobox in the (stock) lancer gli 1.8L he drives to work every morning.

might have some luck having that on the weekdays then

anyhow, we've phoned around and he'll be looking at test driving the my09 wrx and a few pignose and peanut eye wrx's and a few 'sti's.

are there any standout wrx/sti in the past few years? and certain ones to avoid? ive heard that the bug-eye is not such a go-er compared to other makes?

exciting times ahead, that's all i know

cheers in advance!
