hi everybody
hello there everyone i've been on perth wrx for a couple of months now , so i thought i'd better introduce myself my name is catherine but i go by the name cat, i have been to a couple cruises met a lot of nice people and some beaut cars that have put mine to shame which makes me want to mod mine a bit .
Anyway my ride is a 1996 subaru impreza rx that i bought last year a week after my birthday. It was like a love story i have always wanted a subaru something about them has attracted me it would have to be the sound and the overall look and sometimes the driver. But there was one problem my budget and everyone telling me that i would never have my dream car as my first car ,i was being told that i should get a hyundai exel or mazda bubble and they are definetly not my type of car. I had just about given up but alas one day searching on gumtree i had found my perfect car at a reasonable price and it is red (yaaay) but like most first cars it came with problems after the first couple of days the radiator went so that had to get fixed before i could drive it, back then i was a learner so i couldn't really go anywhere. the list of problems continued with my reversing lights not working and i found out my horn didn't work when someone cut me off and no sound came out when i banged on the steering wheel so the electrics in the car where stuffed and the engine wasn't to much better either anyway after a lot of cursing, breaking stuff and money i am very happy that i have this car it's my baby. bit of a long intro but i thought i'd share the story so far on the car i have'nt done any major mods just a pod filter, mudflaps, aftermarket headlights and bits and pieces to improve the interior . not much done to the engine i'm still learning about cars so any easy engine mods that can increase power i'd love to hear |

Hi Cat. Welcome.
You could put a dif back exhaust (a larger exhaust from the rear axle to the tip) to give your car a little bit more of a rumble. Unfortunately you wont exactly get neck-snapping performance gains out of it.

Hi Cat, welcome to Perth-WRX
I too started my subaru journey with an NA model. Take my advice, save your money and buy a WRX when you can afford to. Just enjoy what you have for now and get used to being out on the roads. |

for the exhaust, normally on a WRX there is just 2 bolts to undo the diff back section, and you would put a new section on that was made to fit a MY94-00 Subaru sedan. Keep an eye out on the forum, or try one of our sponsors Ultrex or Pro Speed Racing for diff back sections to get a bit of note out at least
