Hello old friend!

I'm still thinking... Don't really want to do too much for power until I can afford a rebuild with forgies =P

What do u think? Where should I start?

Getting out of Sydney is a pretty good place to start.

Start with getting lots and lots of seat time. Get to the track as much as you can.

You'll probably find you'll need to do brakes first - braided lines, good pads and discs. Then more and more seat time.

Exhaust, intercooler etc etc - buy add on stuff with an eye that you can still use it when you light the wick on it later down the track with your forged rebuild.

I grew up around Miranda/ Cronulla area before I came to my senses and move to Perth.

Shire boy, explains a lot......LOL. Heaps of people I worked with were from "The Shire".

I lived in Kogarah and Thirroul (loved smashing down the Bulli pass in my XR6T!). Just got horribly sick of traffic (worked in Padstow) and pulled the pin and came back to Perth after 3 or 4 years there.

Lightweight pulley, short shifter, rear strut, sway bars all round - How's that for starters?

The previous owner had STI braided clutch and brake lines installed, DBA slotted discs and bendix pads. Also STI pink springs, front strut, h brace. Couldn't see a rear strut in the boot (are you meant to be able to see it without taking off the seats?) and not sure if away bars are uprated. Also hi-tech 3" tbe so he hasn't really left me with much to do.. Lol

I've also lived in Kensington and Maroubra. Got a friend near Bondi beach and it's quite nice to be so close to the beach. Why the move?

Why does everyone move to Perth? Just curious... =)

Is it as Huggy_b says - traffic related?

Women are less pretencious, weather is better, more relaxed lifestyle - biggest plus for me was friends and family to be honest.

I grew up in Central West NSW, and spent 10 years in Sydney, (you get less for murder) before moving to Port Hedland, well it got me out of Sydney.

My family is back over East, but that doesn't worry me either way.

Now down in the South West, lots of nice twisty roads, and only 2hrs from Perth on a weekend morning, 40 minutes to the beach, and up in the hills with great 4WDing, (another passion), cold enough in winter to have an open fire, and burn Jarrah, (still find that a bit hard to take, but it does burn well with little ash)
