How do you do that because the spark plug lead is attached to the coil pack?

Have a visual look at it then disconnect it, check the voltages over each coil pack as well to see if packs are on the way out

I've seen this as an alternator problem on a B4 as well. Exactly the same symptoms, just saying.
So theres two cases. Need to look a the data when the fault occurs, eg, is it leaning out, eg, not enough fuel, or running rich from poor spark. Best to take it to a specialist

Hey everyone after a ridiculously over priced visit to mrt they have decided that its probably a earth problem so now to save up again to try and workout where the earth problem is. Unless someone has some good ideas on some diy things? And for anyone curious mrt slapped me with the timing belt is just about stuffed pn your car and needs to be done right now otherwise its going to snap and told me it will be $350 then they get in there and say the tensioner and pulleys are screwed so $650 for that and the list went on and the c**ts then charged $1650 for the job like seriously wtf

Standard for a timing belt and pulley/tensioner change, if your car hasn't had it changed and has done 100,000kms+ then you're in the danger zone and should thank them for saving you an engine rebuild.

If they found your timing belt was actually in worn condition and going to break, they just saved you thousands. Just unfortunate bills and problems pile up at one time.
But yes, not disclosing the full extent and cost of the timing belt service at the beginning is kinda shitty of them. Generally, timing belt service is belt and all moving assemblies with it. Hyundai ripped me with the getz recently, I told them to contact me before conducting expensive work, they doubled my bill without telling me and charged premiums for simple shit I could have done. I know your pain, just gotta deal with it.
