there has only been the 43/39, 36, 37....? Not digging but there isnt much better to pick from without going the twin scroll path. Even then depending on who you talk to, some will say the 37/36 does not get the topend of a 34... But, looking at the cars with the 34's...Consider fueling, cooling and flowing mods and ecu type (and tuner) to account for the power differences your seeing. Also, the WRX motor in cira 98-02 models are not the same as the 03-05 models. They might even have different cams?? Not sure..I know that sti cams in stock sti's are an evolving process.

Pete - Matt is saying they have been around since 2002. They are very common and poor old RichX isn't doing anything that we haven't been doing for years and should quit acting like he's the pioneer of vf34's.
Sorry Rich.

vf34 is certainly the most versatile, but its all each to their own for their particular application...
vf22 would make the 'most' power, at the price of lag, yet vf23's/vf30's are the turbo of choice for a lot of group-n stuff (probably on cost)... my favourite is still the vf35 though.

whats the general opinion, will a vf 36 hold more in the top end than a vf 34 or is the main advantage of the twinscroll just spool up? i don't know much about the twinscrolls, only heard comments from Terry about them?
