Even the owner is suprised at the figure. Had 500nm prev now 800nw that is one hell of a jump.

Yeah that torque figure is total bs. ... no way it could possibly be making 700nm+.....The wok hub dyno is giving the correct torque figure. There are 383ci LS1 Strokers that cant make more than 600nm at wheels. If anyone thinks that 850nm is possible from a 2L they are smoking crack...pass the pipe.

Its not 800nm of torque, its 800nm of tractive effort..
The tractive effort is obtained by multiplying the torque by the total ratio of power train and dividing this sum by the rolling radius of the driving tyres. Depending on the overall gear reduction and the diameter of the tyres, a 300nm jump in tractive effort would be something like 50-100nm of actual torque, so its not completely unbelievable!!! Well everyone can chip in some cash and i'l book it in at SW for a power run and see what torque it really pulls....
either way - 800nm or not, its pulls harder than my previous tune at 500nm. So my bet is that its more than 500nm. 800nm - yes well... but comparing them to Gareths results - it doesnt look to dubious to be honest. |
