Default Brake upgrade - what are my options?

My00 wrx dont really wanna spend the big bucks on the new rotors and since my pads are due I thought i'd ask what is going to fit? STI calipers? something else?

The biggest improvement you can make to braking performance is pads.

You can upgrade to STI Brembos and they will bolt onto the front hubs no worries. But then you will need the larger 330mm rotors.

I remember some company over east selling a bracket that allows you to move the standard 4 pot WRX caliper further away from the hub centre so that you can use a larger rotor with it. Something like 320mm.

For a comparatively light classic shape rex I went with slotted and drilled rotors and Endless pads and the braking was truely awesome with no fade.
Oh and better brake fluid helps too.

Yep, hard to go past just working with your standard calipers. I went with the tried and tested DBA4000's and Ferrodo DS2500's on the front and Comp2's on the rears. Put that together with good brake fluid, a master cylinder brace and Goodridge stainless lines and you're only limited by the grip of your tyres

I want r-comps...... muggaz lower your prices lol im poor and unemployed

DBA4000S Front rotors only with bendix ultimate pads all round huge improvement over stock!

But if doing motorsport etc id go with 2500's pads

close to 2k for DBA4000's, Ferodo DS2500's, Braided lines, Brake Cylinder brace and brembo fluid front and rear on my GC8. Makes a world of difference over stock, but can still reach the limit and fade a bit if you really push them..
