I would suggest rather than wait for next service get it looked at now before it does more damage. Better to pay for damage now than be ignorant and have no car at all.
Reason i say this is because my car had an oil leak in it and i didn't think much of it at first, possibly front seal not... well umm... sealing stuff... so neways got it looked at and they found out that it had been in a major accident (previous owner) and the main gear and crankshaft were badly damaged, timing belt was slightly tuned and one of the camshafts was out of time. They said if i had left it any longer the gear could have seperated and reeked havoc on the rest of the engine. So yeah, book it in tommorow. Thats my advice

I had rear Beaing Replaced in back of gear box just normal wear and tear they said cost $500 all included with redline oil... they had box out in 45 mins

THe worst bit is once they open box u moss well go with who ever opened it cuase they will charge u to open and put it back as is.. so yeah goto maximums though they are usually flat out but call them anwyay .. they can at least drive it round the block and tell u what the prob is ..

it sounds like your centre diff in the box needs replacing... gearbox needs to be removed... should cost around $700
