Default Gc8 Engine swap

Question;

What am I up for if i were to consider putting a 2.5 from the new STi in a 99 WRX.

Note, i already have a 3"TBE, FMIC, Autronic SMC and a big bosch fuel pump.

Just looking for some info as to how big a job it is...

Ur autronic is PnP? If it is, it might cannot use on the 2.5l STI engine.

Buy a short motor and use all the gear off your existing engine, then re-tune. Probably not ideal as the heads and turbo are not exactly right, but it would be the cheapest/easiest option if you must have 2.5 litres.

EJ207 short motor from regents and use your heads of the old motor and you can still use all your other bit (autronics etc). thats wat i am gona do when my engine goes POP BANG WIZ!!!
Best option of getting a nice strong engine without costing a fortune IMO.

JWS had some brand new sti 2.5 engines for around $7k. Depending on how mechaincally minded you are you can do the swap yourself. It is really not that bigger deal.
