no you keep the pump you already have as a pickup. think of this like the fuel pickup pump, a small pussy walbro to get fuel from the tank to the bigger 044 style pump! likewise with oil setups.

prob the best equipment for your oil system. the tank heater blanket is just way too cool!

replacement upgraded pumps arent that expensive. unless its JUN.

As Joe said I was told unless your engine has let go your pump should be fine, I am sticking with my pump.
I so want to go with liners in the block but 3-3500 on top of what I am already spending is alot.

liners are only around 2900 with closed deck but around 2gs otherwise...

its not really a valid argument on the engines longitivity.
His car had just under 20,000km on it and was going to be pulled down to check how it was going. It would not have been a full rebuild but bearings, rings and gaskets.

Not that much $$ when if it was left has the potential to cause a much larger hole in his pocket.

It did do a fair few track days he just didn't advertise his adventures constantly. For the stress he put on it it didn't miss a beat.

No matter what route you go down. If you push a motor to 200%+ it's intended design it's not going to last forever.
