i was running 240 kw atw on the pinks and there was still room left in them..

but i think ull be limited to around 220-240 kw atw with a topmount.. Unless u have a massive turbo in there thats fairly efficient...

You could try talking to the process west guy (i think his name is Kevin) in the east.

He is on the rexnet forums. The jury is still out on some of his products but he does seem to do a lot of testing.

i discussed the process west with a few guys..

because of heatsoak that won't work with the gc8's[for 260kw+]... and as suggested by
nic, would need to go to a gd8[fair point] scoop for more effective cooling.. not prepared to do that either.[gc8 love]

may be forced to look for a trust front mount kit... unsure where i can pick up those cheap????

You will get long pipework with the front mount unless you reverse your manifold and rotate your cooler.

Surely a GD STi cooler with water/meth injection should keep things happy? I'm pretty sure Alex (GETAGRIP) ran one of these units and they are extremely popular in the US.

Some food for thought, now on with the horse race!

he uses his for short track work, so pickup rather than power was his priority

still around 250kw or thereabouts is the max i've seen something make with that setup

The whole heat soat thing is overrated imo, only starts really effecting the cooler when you are at a stand still. Personally i would choose a 2nd hand 02+ sti cooler over a process west cooler but thats just personal pref

What's the internal flow characteristics of a TMIC vs. a FMIC? Any restrictions, etc?

Edit: Ie. Is TMIC significantly more restrictive than a FMIC. Is there a % figure or something of the sort? Obviously a TMIC and FMIC will be able to flow similar quantities of air if the inlet/outlet piping are identical on each type, only the FMIC would have larger surface area for cooling?
