correct reading of oil press. gauge.
only recently my oil press. gauge has started doing this: when pulling up to lights braking, the gauge needle will drop to 0 suddenly and once at a holt with idle at 4xx kpa, around corners it will also dip to 0 or 1xx pka a go back to 6-7xx kpa.
the reason i query this is because it's only been happening in the last month and before that was always a solid 6-7xx kpa. my guess would be low oil though no oil light has come on? cheers.

I'd be checking the oil level. As you brake the oil will be rushing to the front and around corners it will rush to the sides, causing the oil pump to get a gut full of air.

my starlet sounded like it had done a big end yesterday. i checked the dipstick (remember to check on flat level ground and wipe the dipstick clean and THEN check it, or your Jun 2.2 will be toast) and the dipstick came back out clean. oh noes!
check your oil regularly!
