It might help if you post up a picture of the tmic, so that people can visually see the issues you are facing with this upgraded top mount..

This was the only pic i found of a AVO tmic

Looks like its a single entry TMIC with the correct bov mounting plate for a stock bov...

So this leads me to believe either you've not got a proper AVO tmic but some cheap china POS copy or somehow they missed the bov holes during manufacture...

ideas?

i think what might not fit is the recirc hose....with some tmic's they can be cunts, so only solution maybe atmospheric.

mmm not the kind of thing I want to hear....dont get me wrong, if its the case, its good to know, but not pleasing to know its not something I was told before buying (I had Sean look at it before I bought it).

I hope these photos are enough to see what is meant/the problem.

i think wat you need is a a/m gc8 bov, the ones that need the adapter minus the adapter (GFB i think)

Big question is where did you buy it from?

Eghay?

That said you can still just get a run of the mill bov to make it work... easy done.

If it were me, i'd just move the cooler along on eghay and just get a STI TMIC as its more then up to the task and best of all its a factory fit!

Designed to work day in day out with no fuss.

No, a member on here, but as Id like to think the best of people on here, Ill go on the assumption they didnt know it wasnt a legit AVO

So if I got a BOV, that should be the end of it? In the end, Im not concerned what BOV, the only reasons I didnt want atmospheric is the noise, and I thought I read somewhere that it wasnt ideal for a WRX? (I was probably mistaken)
Weighing up my options now, cost etc.....

ok buddy these are my thoughts wat u need is an aftermarket gc8 bov (gfb best bet i think)

they look like this

usually for a gc8 they come with this adaptor

now all u need to do is get nick to fab a pipe from the cooler to the aftermarket bov
