Subaru Turbo Oil Starvation
Have a read, What do people think about this?? Im thinking of removing my filter on my next change..

Read the article, but they did not indicate the potential problems of allowing the sludge etc that is caught by the mesh/filter into the turbo?

My XT is due for its 30,000km service.....I'll definitely be getting this checked out!!!!

yeah i dont know whether i prefer the turbo failing from oil starvation or sludge/metal particles in the turbo. i think i will talk to subaru service about this asap. cheers for the heads up trainwrex

errr i think i will be changing mine seeing as the screen in mine has probly seen close to 170,000 k's
so whats the concensus? remove or replace? |
