getting an xforce muffler installed next friday at cypher. Is anyone running an xforce muffler, whats it like?

It's very Chinese, but will do the job well. If it's a cannon, it'll be farkin loud.

X-Force are better than China Spec systems but can't compete with quality locally built stuff or Japanese systems. They are priced accordingly: between these categories.

I think you'll find the Cannon to be loud and drone quiet a bit at freeway speeds but you're a young lad, I'm sure you'll love it! If the 03-05 WRXs are as sound insulated as the 06/07s, it shouldn't be an issue (not to you anyway, I'm not sure about your neighbours haha)

thanks. well its only the muffler, the rest of my 3' tbe system is Trust. I saw the varex ones but for the price that they are, meh. hopefully ill be happy with what ive got.

Is your muffler straight or angled? Did you get just the muffler or muffler + diff back pipe?

I'm wondering since a muffler swap can be as easy as undoing 2 bolts and swapping the mufflers around.
If there's no modification, you could do it yourself?

yeah i remember zach@cypher saying they will probably need to cut and weld it. does the xforce produce a low toned note?

I have an X-Force Diff-Back pipe sitting in the garage. It should bolt up to your current system and save you from cutting/welding. And it's straight out - not angled (rice rice)



X-Force = fairly low note. If you're looking for JDM Style's S204 sound or Ramon's S201, X-Force is not the way to go. When I said X-Force can't compete with locally built/japanese stuff, I meant in terms of quality - exhaust note is very subjective...
