Default Would adjusting my swaybars require a wheel alignment?

Hiya,

pretty straight forward query, may seem a silly question to some but anyway...my car has front and rear adjustable Whiteline swaybars fitted (22mm front & 24mm rear), at the moment i believe that they are set at 'medium', as i am expecting to be participating in a track night at Barbagallo i am considering having them set to their stiffest setting and then changing them back to medium for daily driving, however if this is going to require a wheel alignment each time i probably won't worry about it, but if it is as simple as adjusting the bolts and drive away i reckon it would be beneficial for the night.

cheers,

_daz_

It's as simple as adjusting the bolt.
Sway bars (on Subaru, not on all cars) have no effect on the geometry of the suspension.
Having said that, the purists may argue that to get the most out of any set up you should also alter the alignment to gain maximum benefit.

my opinion would be drive barbs how you drive the car, rather than changing suspension settings and having to relearn your limits all over again

My opinion is you never learn your cars limits on the road so why not stiffen it up a bit more. But yes its prob a slight advantage to drive it the way you drive it everyday.

Why don't you do a few laps the way it is then change it to the stiffer setting and try that (will only take a few minutes to adjust).
