Default Injector Details??

Hi,

Will be upgrading a heap of parts on my 99 very soon and will need bigger injectors. After looking at some of the online shops (greenline, nengun, perfect run etc) I'm a little confused about some things..

First off if I'm running Autronic PNP do i need High or low impedence for best tuning ability or doesn't it matter?

Second all the sites list the sard injectors (540cc, 650cc, 800cc) as only suitable for Version I - IV (up to 98) except Greenline that lists the 850cc for version V - VI. My question is are any of you running sard injectors in a 99 with standard fuel rail and what size are yours? For what I'm aiming to get at the wheels 850cc is overkill...

Cheers

Brett

Thanks mate, will look into it.. An upgrade looks like its necessary for me to get just over 200kwatw..

Formula I have to work out max power for injectors is as follows:

CC of injector divided by 5 x how many cylinders = Max BHP at 100% duty.

So 440cc injectors in a 99 will equate to a max BHP at 100% duty cyle of 352. Obviously I need to have a safety margin for acceleration enrichment and so forth so a max of 80% duty cycle would be very safe.

352bhp minus 20% is 281.6bhp which is just on 210kw's.. Given the common 15% drivetrain loss that would be about 178kwatw.. not enough...

550cc injectors will give me 223kwatw at 80% duty cycle

650cc 265kwatw at 80%

800cc 325kwatw at 80%

MY99 440cc injectors, fuel pressure at 60psi @ idle, 1.3bar boost TMIC, Autronic logging showing IDCs rarely getting in to the 80s.... 200+kw atw on Dyno Dynamics Dyno.

Thanks blu, Did you have to upgrade your fuel lines to run the extra pressure?

Cheers
