Would use rotas for street and light trackwork (skidpans, autox, etc) only (if I didnt stumble upon ultrex wheels I may have gone for rotas on my car due to it being mainly street with a bit of light track work thrown in...and not wanting to spend $3k+ on wheels alone for a street car)
If you are going to be putting in some serious seat time though, forged wheel all day every day (just that little bit extra peace of mind imo).

I think the point is there is not many options available for 4x100 PCD.

I can get a set of Rotas in 18's for 999... Those Superlegs are like 700 each.
If its not a hardcore racer what difference is 20kg of weight across 4 corners going to do for me?

feeling more inclined towards the ccw rims, they are reasonably priced for what they are. would i risk my pride and joy to cheap out on rims, yeah nah probs not was a stupid thought. considering anticipated speeds, and money i have sunk into it so far, and plan to to finish the job sacraficing/risking XXk to save 2k really doesnt add up. ill take a photo of the rims i put on it to check some measurement - 1 word HekTiC

I've seen Rota's out on Barbs & other stuff & they have been fine. Looking at getting some for street use as well & keeping my enkei's for serious track use.
Any rim should be fine if you are just street drving. Track stuff is another matter. You go low budget for that & things start going wrong & cost you more.

some people tend to be of the other thought, in that track work is generally nice and smooth (apart from riding kerbs), whereas a faulty wheel is more likely to break from impacts like potholes.

I am trying to toss up whether to get some rotas for track work and continue using my Works XD9s for street use or doing the vice versa.
Only reason i want to keep using the XD9s on the street is they cost $2500 and would hate to see them just sitting around majority of the year. |

rotas have up'ed their standards..im sure you can x-ray/do scan and test after a track day before and after if there were any effects on the rim
the yanks love rotas in the states most of their car push over 300hp, there's a thread dedicated to rota stance with over 50 pages im thinking of purchasing some as well for the stance but none of teh vendors seem to have 17x9 width EDIT: here is and interesting read http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/for...-p-cup-slicks/
