Did the exact same for me when I drove it from Subaru back in 2007 when I brought mine. Subaru then explained that it's all normal and not to worry.

To this day it still does it and after 4 years car has been fault free.

I've always wondered about this noise that people talk about as I've never experienced it at all and I don't think there's any difference between ADM and JDM DCCD's (if there is someone point out the differences please)

I've tried it in different settings with going slow and turning tightly etc etc but nothing.

I have never seen my rear diff light ever come on while driving it. I have gone hours on a track day with it full rear lock and still never seen that light appear.

If you have it on full lock front or rear and not even driving it hard and you have seen the light I would get it checked t as there might not be enough oil in the rear diff.

The DCCD is still only changing the Center Diff but when on full rear it is sending more torque to the rear diff and not the front putting the rear under a bit more stress.

I suspect your car has different size tyres on the front and the back.

Is this Damo69's old car? Purchased a few days ago? If so, it's just been serviced by Melville Subaru.
Edit; I did some research and it appears that it's not his old car, his had nearly 100,000km and yours only has 50 something......
