KW Suspension STi - Reviews/Opinions
Hi All,
Would just like the opinions of those STi's fitted with V3 KW Suspension coilovers? What is the softest setting like compared with the standard STi suspension, and what do you make of them in general - street and track. Or has anyone heard good / bad things about KW or the Varient 3's?? Cheers T

Never been in a car with standard STi suspension so can't comment but the V3s are comfortable enough on the street ( never had them on the sofest setting )
From all reports they are a quality product so hopefully mine will last a while.

I have them on my WRX.
They have a good range of settings, bump and rebound, from soft to hard and give a nice ride on the streets if that is what you want. They are also great on the track but I am still experimenting and trying to find the best setting for what I want. Pricey yes but I think they are worth it |

One of my mates has KW V3 on his Sti Betty - they are excellent BUT I can't comment on "softness" as he doesn't like his kidneys.

Would these be considered top of the line street/ entry level track?
How much better would these be over something like the HSD HR/ STD R3 for trackwork? |

Also, RaceComp Engineering have the Tarmac 2 which is essentially a modified V3 (designed in collaboration with KW), these are designed to be more track-oriented than V3's but in imo, for the majority of cars that serve dual duties as a daily/weekend warriror the V3 is the pick (best of both worlds in terms of comfort vs handling). Tarmac 2's for lap times....oh the temptation. No prizes for guessing what will be replacing my Cusco's in the future Can't really help with the second question as I have never driven or been in a car with HSD's/STD's. |
